I broke my hip a few months ago, which then led to compression fractures in my vertebrae. I was sent to a horrible rehabilitation center, which did NOT help me get better at ALL. It is still very painful and very difficult to move around on my own, and they sent me home without giving Medicare time to set up an in-home caretaker, so I am currently paying for that myself. My funds are very limited, and this kind of help is very expensive ($20 an hr). I will have to do this until Medicare (I'm praying SOON!) takes over, but they haven't told me when that will be.
