In April, I realized that my pelvic pains were no longer coinciding with my cycle and the pain was at times unbearable. I went in for an exam and found out I had cysts on my cervix. Pap results showed high grade squamous (pre-cancerous) cells. Biopsy was scheduled for July 2nd. At that appointment, the doctor tried to remove it. About a week later, I received a call from the doctor insisting they go back in and remove more but in an actual OR instead of just the procedure room. Upon scheduling the surgery for 8/12, I found out my insurance had been cancelled as of 7/1. I have paid the surgeon's fee out of pocket but the hospital requires a percentage to be paid upfront day of in order for the surgery to happen and then the remainder can be put on a payment plan. I applied for financial assistance but was told I made a $1000 over the allowed cut off. I have until 8/11 to acquire the necessary funds. If you are able to help at all, it is greatly appreciated.
