I never imagined I would have to ask for help, but I’ve reached a point where I can’t manage this alone. I live on Social Security Disability, and my income is very limited. After rent and basic necessities, there is nothing left for emergencies. I’ve stretched every dollar as far as I can, but I simply don’t have the means to cover this on my own.
Recently, my car started leaking a substantial amount of water every time it rained. I already spent $270 just to have it diagnosed, only to find out it’s the worst-case scenario. The repair estimate is about $6,000 and that’s without addressing any damage that the water may have done. This isn’t a minor issue. It can cause serious damage and could make my car unusable. My car is essential for medical appointments, errands, and maintaining my independence. It also has deep sentimental value, because I was able to buy it with money my mom lovingly left me after she passed away. It’s the last thing I have from her, and losing it would break my heart.
Living on disability means there is no emergency fund to fall back on. This repair has created a financial crisis I cannot overcome alone. If you’re able to donate, even a small amount would make a huge difference and help me keep my car and my independence. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my story and for any kindness you can offer.
