My name is Lena White, and I’m asking for help for dear friends, Tawan and Mimi “Team Truck-Drivers”.

On July 28, 2025, while driving through Omaha, Nebraska, Tawan ate a piece of cake, and it went down the wrong way. He began choking, then vomiting. Rushed to the emergency room, the doctor discovered he had a hole in his esophagus as well as fluid on his lungs, which resulted in him having emergency surgery. Mimi is his primary support and has been by her fiancé’s side every day and night.

While in Nebraska, Mimi has used up most of their savings to purchase meals, do laundry, and pay bills back home (they both live in Columbus, Ohio). She is asking for help to get through the next few months and would appreciate any help you can give.

Unfortunately, in the midst of this situation, both Tawan and Mimi were laid off from the trucking company for which they worked.
