Hi everyone, and thank you for taking a moment to read this. I’m not one to put my life out here on social media but I’m reaching out because my cat, Po (yes, as in KungFu Panda “Po”), urgently needs dental care that I cannot afford as I am unemployed. As many pet parents know, dental issues don’t just affect a cat’s teeth, it affects their whole overall quality of life.

At a recently vet visit, the vet had been able to examine his teeth in the way that he never let me, we learned that he has severe plaque buildup on his teeth, which is causing him significant discomfort and the vet explained that without treatment, the condition will continue to cause pain and could lead to more serious health problems. The recommended procedure includes cleaning and sedation, and the total cost is estimated at $3,000.

I’ve been doing everything I can to take care of them (regular checkups and switching to softer food) but this is expense is excessive but also the only option I have and is more than I can manage right now. I can’t stand to see him in pain and feel immense guilt and shame for not being able to help him get better because as a single parent who has been a stay-at-home mom for the past 15 years, I currently have no income and am unable to cover the cost of the dental treatment Po urgently needs. I want nothing more than to see him healthy and happy again, free from pain. The funds raised will go directly toward his dental care, giving him the chance to enjoy his golden years in comfort.

I don’t usually reach out like this, but I’m swallowing my pride and asking for a bit of help. this corner of the internet has become my circle of friends who cheer me on from afar. Even though some of you I’ve never seen in person, I’ve always felt supported and understood by you, so I’m hoping it’s okay to ask for a little help.
