In January, I was diagnosed with a basal cell carcinoma (BCC) by my right eye. Due to its extremely close proximity to my eye, after consultations and much thoughtful consideration, I ultimately decided on radiation therapy to treat the cancer.

On June 19th, I will have a mask created, which will be necessary during my treatments in order to stabilize my head during radiation and protect my healthy tissue and organs. Once the mask is created, I will be able to schedule my first treatment 2-3 weeks from that time. Half of the payment is due by the first treatment, so I'm hoping to have $2,190 raised by then.

My emergency hemicolectomy last year and the necessary follow-up procedures have left me with thousands of dollars in medical debt. I have applied for CareCredit for appointments I've had this year, which unfortunately has been maxed out. I'm paying that off and will slowly be able to pay the rest of my debt, but with so much being due upfront in order to start treatment on my BCC, my hands are tied. I'm humbly asking that you'll help me raise what I need to start treatment, to heal, and put this behind me without adding to the burden of medical debt I already have.
