This fundraiser is on behalf of my friend Rulx Thork, a prolific and important New York City photographer.

Hi. My name is Rulx. In June 2020 I suddenly became sick with a severe illness. Within 2 months I went from being 165 pounds to 94 pounds. I was diagnosed with an acute auto immune disorder. I spent 2 months in the hospital and had to receive 5 blood transfusions at different times due to severe anemia. When I was discharged from the hospital I could not go back home. I was too sick, too low in weight, and too weak, hardly able to walk due to severe pain. I ended up in a rehab for 2 years. I lost my apartment and everything I owed because I was too sick to go back home, and I could not go back to work. (Fortunately all of Rulx's photographs and negatives were safe in storage unit) After 2 years I was finally discharged from the rehab in April 2022. I am still very sick and getting worse. I have been sick for 5 years, unable to go anywhere except to the doctor's office or food shopping (I have to take a taxi for these activities). 3 months ago I was introduced to a physician who also practices naturopathy. Having successfully treated people with my particular illness he has remedies that he believes will resolve my health issues. The remedies are a combination of powerful natural medicines that are non herbal and a drug that he says I need to be on for a minimum of 3 months, but he says he would prefer me to be on them for 6 months. He suggested 3 months because of the cost of the remedies which my insurance will not cover because they fall under the alternative medicine category. 3 months supply of the remedies will cost $2,160. A 6 months supply will cost $4,320. I am appealing to the kindness of anyone who is willing to donate to my GoFundMe to help me raise the funds so I can have my health restored. I long to be well and finally live a normal life.
