I broke my wrist and my short-term disability claim was denied because I work a second part-time job. I cannot work at my first full-time job because it’s in food service and I have a cast on. My part-time job only gives me about 16 hours a week, and that is not enough for me to survive. They denied giving me more hours, so I’m stuck with these hours for now for the next couple of months. I tried to withdraw from my 401(k) as an emergency withdrawal, but they only gave me a tiny amount. I tried to use all the resources available to me in the moment, and so far I can only afford food. I need about $2,500 to cover my rent for the next few months while I wear my cast and heal.
