I never thought I'd be doing this before, but I could really use your help.

I've been financially supporting a family member who has been having some mental health struggles, in the hopes that I would be repaid. Unfortunately, the relative's situation has gotten much worse and there's no possibility for me to be repaid. I depleted my savings trying to help a family member.

The journalism job market has basically evaporated nationally and almost entirely in the LA area, so I am trying to transition to another industry. My backup plan was the tech industry, but unfortunately, that world has been plagued with massive layoffs as well.

I have worked seven days a week for the past several years but haven't been able to get enough subscribers. If you know some big podcasters, I would love to be on their programs.

I've been working on several book projects as well, but they haven't sold yet. If you know of any jobs in policy, media, or communications, please let me know. I also could use your help getting onto some larger podcasts or YouTube channels to enable me to support my journalism independently.

It looks like I will need to transition to another industry, but this is going to take time, and right now I cannot pay my rent for myself and my two children.
