Support Needed for Our Friend Joan Silvia

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out as a long-time friend and co-worker of Joan Silvia. Recently, Joan received devastating news while bravely battling an aggressive cancer known as uterine leiomyosarcoma. She needs our support now more than ever.

Joan has been courageously battling cancer for the past 11 years. Unfortunately it has come back and she undergone four different types of chemotherapy in the past year, with the latest being a clinical trial that unfortunately did not work. Her tumors continue to grow, and doctors estimate she has 3 to 6 months to live.

Joan will be trying chemotherapy infusions every three weeks to help slow the progression, but she’s uncertain about continuing if the treatment makes her feel worse. She is understandably exhausted from this long fight.

While we can offer our prayers and positive thoughts, Joan also needs financial assistance. She shouldn’t have to worry about the expenses associated with what lies ahead. Let’s come together to help her during this difficult time. We are seeking contributions to cover medical and final resting costs. Any amount, no matter how small, would be deeply appreciated and will go directly toward honoring Joan's life and legacy.
