Thank you in advance for reading about our cause. Secondly, please know that this took A LOT of swallowing our pride to even go this route of asking for help. But in my constant prayers to God, I keep getting the term "Be vulnerable" popping in my head. So here goes:

Jomie and I rent our home from her grandfather. Although he is normally a handyman, he is elderly and bigger projects obviously have to go through professionals to protect him and his health. Also, given the Spanish language barrier Jomie has to interpret for him even when we do have to utilize professional companies.

Our furnace went out recently. The home is older and the furnace is from between the 1920's and the 1940's. Certain parts aren't even manufactured for this specific furnace anymore. But still has functioned up until this winter. It has now been determined that the whole thing FINALLY needs to be replaced.

The furnace died on Friday December 5th, 2025 and has been out ever since. Amelia and Jomie aren't home during the day while I work. I work from home and have been using a space heater during those times. At night, we have been sleeping elsewhere to avoid being in the house at night in the cold.

We have a company that we've been working with. They've given us a quote and even offered financing. All three of us (myself, Jomie, and her grandfather) have all been denied for the financing option. With this being such a big job, her grandfather prefers the new furnace to have a warranty. For safety reasons and peace of mind, that eliminates trying to utilize someone we may know personally, unless a warranty can be offered.

Financially, due to A LOT of health situations that have popped up this year, we literally CAN NOT afford this. We have already exhausted other options such as loans through our personal banks and even government assistance programs with no luck.
