On July 5th we got the call that my dad was being air lifted to KMC trauma center. His horse flipped over backwards on him. He was sedated before being air lifted out from their house in the mountains. Diagnostic show he has a skull fracture and a brain bleed. They continued to do CT scans every six hours. The bleed did not get much worse after the first scan, which was great news. He’s been sedated since the accident. If you know me and my family we do not like to ask for help. And I hope that he wakes up and is mad at us, I’ll take that any day. My mom was presented with an 8k estimate out of pocket the day after he was admitted. They’re retired and on fixed monthly income and I know the stressors of medical bills are going to put a strain on them. My parents lives out of town and my mom still has to go check on the animals once or twice a week with some help from her neighbors. We’d like for help with gas, a coffee, late night meal, much needed snack, while my mom is by his side everyday, anything without it even being a second thought. My dad is an amazing man. He stubborn but kind. He’s always building something or helping out people from his church, working on their projects for them. Hes strong and he would do anything for his family. We’d love for everyone to show him that we also would do anything for him. We just want him better and his grandkids really miss him! Thank you everyone
