My name is Jahkeena Bullock. I was wrongfully terminated from my job a few weeks before I had to move from my old home. The money I had was used to move. I found a new job, and the day after orientation, my mother suffered a stroke and I became her primary caregiver. Due to her not having insurance, I was unable to get a nurse to help care for her while I worked, so I had to resign from my job. We are in the process of waiting for benefits to be approved so she can receive the care she needs as far as seeing a doctor and getting physical therapy so that she can get back to herself. I have found a job and will start working soon, but in the meantime, having to care for her without any income for over a month has put a strain on me financially. Even with the help of some family, I am behind and will probably lose everything if I don't come up with a solution. Any money I raise will be strictly for bills and buying the things she needs until I become financially stable again and her benefits are approved. Right now, a dollar goes a long way.
