Support Needed for Life-Changing Prosthetic Leg

I am in need of extra funding to help me get my first prosthetic lower right leg. I was in a horrible car accident on December 06, 2023. I desperately tried to heal after four surgeries on my right leg, but because of the metal hardware holding up my ankle and lower leg collapsing with infection that would travel, the doctor advised amputation ASAP. On March 10, 2025, I had a lower right leg amputation. It's been 2 months healing, and my new prosthetic technician says they can start my new prosthetic leg in 2 weeks. Unfortunately, my insurance only pays 80%, resulting in a large copay.. depending on if I want my ankle to adjust up and down, plus to be waterproof. I truly want my life back the way it was before. I was able to swim, hike, go boating at the lake, run after my grandkids, and be able to drive again. My independence has been taken away, and it makes me very sad. The car accident was not my fault; a young 17-year-old was driving without a driver's license, hit me, and crushed my beautiful convertible car that I worked very hard for 10 years to pay for. Now that I'm 66 and a half years old, this has been very hard on me, physically and emotionally. Please, I desperately need help. I have always been a caregiver, taking care of everyone else, but now I've had to rely and get lots of help from friends and some family.
