Support needed for Lance’s final arrangements

Dear Family and Friends,

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I write to inform you of the passing of my stepfather, Lance Cook. Lance entered my life when I was just 7 years old, stepping into the role of a father with kindness and love.

Before my mother, Bonnie, passed away, Lance had made the courageous decision to embrace sobriety after battling his addiction to alcohol for most of my childhood. However, the pain and grief of losing my mother were immense, and Lance found himself battling his addiction once again. His struggle with depression deepened, and he withdrew from many aspects of life, often only responding to my calls when prompted

Recently, I had to make the heartbreaking decision to request a welfare check on Lance, as my attempts to reach him had gone unanswered. Tragically, he was found unresponsive, having passed away approximately a week prior.

The aftermath of Lance's passing has left me overwhelmed with responsibilities. I am navigating legal matters left unresolved by my mother and Lance, as well as the arrangements for Lance's estate. Regrettably, these tasks come with financial burdens that I am unable to bear alone.

It is with reluctance that I must reach out and ask for your assistance during this difficult time. Any contribution you can provide will greatly alleviate the financial strain and allow me to focus on honoring Lance's memory and managing the practicalities ahead.

Lance leaves behind, two grandsons, a son-in-law, a step brother and sister, many nieces, nephews and friends.
