Thank you more than I can say for your generous donations! They have gotten me through the 3 weeks of post-surgery lost work/income and into my recovery phase. My surgery on July 2 went well. It ended up being a double surgery to remove the problematic titanium knee and deal with a nearby infection. The staff at the hospital were angels! If all continues to go well and the IV antibiotics I'm getting do their job, I'll be having my second surgery to put in the permanent knee in October. Important bridges crossed, but still more to come. Thank you for your continued support.
All my best, Francis

I am a painting contractor and artist. Five years ago, I had knee replacement surgery that from the start didn't go well. After numerous visits to the hospital, doctors finally determined that I have a staph infection in my titanium knee. Unfortunately, regular antibiotics don't reach that kind of infection, so I will have to have that "knee" removed and a temporary device loaded with antibiotics put in for up to 8 weeks, followed by another surgery to put in a permanent knee. This week, I have been diagnosed with a bad secondary infection, and my surgery has to be moved up. I haven't had the time I had hoped to save for the times I won't be able to work - 6-8 weeks for each surgery. Medicare will cover most of the hospital costs, but I don't have funds to cover my living expenses during my down time and while I get my business restarted. I would be beyond grateful for any help you can provide! Thanks so much for reading this request.
