Support Needed for King's Unexpected Loss
Donation protected
King was one of those souls that impacted everyone he met. His two fractured ACLs led to a fast developing arthritis in both knees. His cancer returned a few weeks ago and he began showing blood in his loose stool, his appetite fell, and he started having trouble breathing. The cancer seemed to spread from his liver to his chest cavity which later filled with liquid.
His Vet was able to drain one liter of liquids from around his lungs which helped him breathe better. However, he was not a candidate for any biopsy or exploratory surgery. We brought King home on anti-diarrhea medication & probiotics, appetite stimulant, herbal arthritis supplement, anti-inflammatory medication, and something to help with the pain. But the fluid filled his chest up again in less than 24 hours. He went from long labored breaths to short rapid breaths in less than 5 hours, as if he were winded and tired, but it was 1 in the morning and he wasn’t getting any sleep.
This all happened in the course of 4 or 5 days and We made the tough decision of putting King out of his misery and put him to rest shortly after 2am the morning of Wednesday, June 26th. This came unexpectedly and now we’re left with a huge void and debt. Any contribution in his honor would greatly help out. Thank you to everyone who loved on King to the very end.
