Support needed for Joel

Story

Hi, my name is Jen, proudest mum to four beautiful boys, including Joel Francisco ❤️ Our world came crashing down last Friday, when my beautiful son was told that he has cancer Joel's lympnodes swelled up a few months ago and only one side went back down to what he thought was normal. The right side, resembled half a cricket ball petruding on the side of his neck. This has been a long drawn out process to get him diagnosed, but we got there in the end. Joel has a very rare tumour (nasopharengeal carsonoma common in South East Asia, not Australia) that has developed from having Glandular fever, which resulted in a virus called Epstein bar virus. It's extremely rare for cancer to develop from this virus. The tumour is more extensive then expected, confined to the head and neck region, starting from his collar bone, it extends up both sides of his neck, up the back of his nose upwards, it is at advanced stages, that has protruded through his bones to the base of his skull towards his brain. It's close to his ateries and nerves. Stage T4N3! We are very thankful, that it hasn't extended into his brain and by the looks, the cancer has not spread to anywhere else in his body. It has caused a blockage on his right side, which has caused hearing difficulties. (Is on the left side too, but not as bad as the right side). So.... Chemo starts on Monday and they are going to hit it aggressively, with three cycles of Chemo and 7 weeks of radiation. The specialists are confident that he can beat this!! Joel is the most most beautiful kind hearted young man, that you will ever come across. He and his beautiful girlfriend Mackenzie, have so many plans for their future together, that I know, he will fight this real hard, to beat this terrible disease. My boy is very humble and doesn't know how to tell his friends, he didn't want to place this on Facebook, as he doesn't want to look like an attention seeker. This is far from what people will see who he is. I think it's important to support him as much as we can and I know, his friends and family, will want to know how he is doing during the hardest time of his life. I will keep everyone updated. If you can donate just a few dollars to help support my boy during this hard time, it will be muchly appreciated, just so he doesn't have to worry about the financial burden, that this is going to bring! Not being able to work during certain times during his treatment, is going to hit him hard, as Joel is a work-a-holic, he absolutely loves his job ❤️❤️ I know Joel will give back to other people in need, to return the favour when he is all well and better ❤️ Thank you for reading our story, any help at all will be mucly appreciated ❤️
