Support Needed for Flood Recovery in Milwaukee

So I debated on doing this but I felt that I have no choice at this point. My wife and I are new homeowners and we just experienced our first natural disaster. On August 9th, Milwaukee was hit with massive flooding and catastrophic rainfall (see world news, New York Times). We were not immune to the fallout. Our basement was flooded with 2ft of water. Our water heater is destroyed, and we have no hot water. Our furnace is broken, and we have no AC. Our insurance company is going to send someone out but said there’s no guarantee we will even get financial coverage. We are looking at thousands of dollars in repairs.

So it is with heavy heart that I turn to my friends and family, whom i am sure have been following my wife and I’s posts on Facebook. If you should feel so inclined, any and all support would be greatly appreciated (though not expected). Anything at all would help us so much to keep us above water (pun intended) and help us soften the blow of this devastating situation.
