Over the last few years, I have been going through a lot of difficult medical diagnoses. Many specialists, hospitalizations causing time away from my family, lots of therapy, and having to restart my career, I feel like I finally have a handle on what is going on with my health.

Except one roadblock that I have not been able to overcome. I have a continuous glucose monitor system for my T1 diabetes and it needs weekly equipment for normal maintenance. If there are issues with the parts and pieces, I have to dip into what should be next week's supply. Our insurance is good and does cover most of the cost. I even have financial assistance granted now. However, I have one outstanding bill from prior to the financial assistance and it's blocking me from ordering new supplies.

I have tried to negotiate the bill down, but the terms are still beyond what we can handle as a family at this time. The company has a right to be paid for the equipment already provided, but I still need new equipment and it's getting blocked from order because of this outstanding debt.

I am asking for any help - it's $1000 and while that doesn't sound monumental, it's more than we can budget for in the time that I have before I need new supplies. I hate asking for help, but I am at a crossroads in my medical journey and I don't want to go backwards after all this work.
