Tropical Storm Dikeledi hit Dulcina's village Matibane, the providence of Nampula in Mozambique, greatly affecting her family. Her mother, 90 year old Ancha Suluho and her sister have lost their homes from yesterdays cyclone. The video below shows the devastation to their village. In the video, you will see a concrete structure without a roof, this is Ancha's home.
The immediate and greatest need is for PRAYER! Then the basic needs of safety, shelter, food, and water. Dulcina's mom will either need to be taken to the city of Nampula (3 hours away) for shelter or find dry temporary shelter. The longer term need will be repairs to her home and replacement of basic necessities.
Since Dulcina has been in the US, she often sends money home to financially support her family in Mozambique. Right now she is feeling overwhelmed by the amount of funds they currently need for dry shelter and basic necessities. As well as the ache of not being physically present with her mom. (Dulcina is usually able to visit once every 2 years due to the expense (+$2000 flight and 24+ hours travel time and decrease of income during her visit). )
Please consider a donation to support Dulcina and her family in this crisis. Personally I would love to raise enough to assist her with an unscheduled visit home!
If a donation is not possible at this time, please consider praying regularly and often for her family's health and safety.
Thank you for taking a minute to hear about my friend and her family. I consider her part of my family and one of my favorite people in the entire world.
