Support Needed for Dolores' Recovery Journey

Hello, I am the daughter of Dolores Farmer. About a month ago, my mother came down with a bad case of Covid...which unfortunately led to a "right side, deep, stroke" as the doctors have said. This has paralyzed my mother in her left arm and left leg. We originally believed that this had not effected her cognitively as her scores were near perfect. We have since then learned that strokes "mature" and it has deeply changed her memory, focus, and personality.

She is currently in a rehab center to continue Physical Therapy despite a lack of progress in her physical ability.

About my Mother: She grew up in NYC for the first 30 years of her life. She moved to the country to have kids and enjoy nature. She was talented with technology, and people from a young age. She was an intellectual, law school graduate, but that didn't stop her more natural interests such as hunting, art, gardening etc. She played many video games as well. At just 65, her daily-life has swiftly changed forever. We continue to hope for her recovery.

How this effects me and my brother: We previously resided in her house as a family, which is now just me and my brother. We have never dealt with a problem of this nature. The dynamic has changed immensely without her here. As we work to quickly resolve the many changes that comes with this significant event, we are working to raise funds for a variety of costs associated.

-Medical bills and eventually medical equipment

-Her needs whilst in rehab

-Costs associated with elder law attorney

-Food and bills we are struggling to cover without her

We are working to care for her while protecting assets to the best of our ability.

Managing this stress, loss of sleep and new responsibility has taken a toll on me and my whole family.

Any relief is appreciated.
