Support Needed for my Dad's Funeral and Memorial Expenses

On Wednesday, July 17, 2024, my dad suffered a massive stroke that left him unresponsive and hospitalized at Regions Hospital. While admitted, he was also diagnosed with a severe UTI that turned septic. After spending day and night by his side, he passed on Friday, July 26, 2024.

While I have been preparing myself for this time to come as he has been on Hospice since April 2024 due to vascular dementia, I did not expect it would be this soon.

Unfortunately, my dad did not fully prepare for his end of life wishes. While I have been very cautious with the funeral/memorial preparation and chosen services/items, there is still a significant balance remaining as my financial responsibility.

My dad’s funeral was Wednesday, August 7, 2024, leaving approximately $11,000 as my responsibility to the funeral home and the cemetery plot.

Asking for help is never easy, but any assistance would be greatly and forever appreciated.
