Support Needed for Cardiac Rehab and Recovery

To my family & friends & friends of friends, your prayers & help is needed one last time.

The latest update on me is below & my train wreck of a life & world! If you can help, great & if you can’t, still great…either way, keep praying for us. It’s beyond needed as we navigate our new world and challenges we are still facing!

Everyone knows about the 5 strokes, 2 heart attacks, and Bypass Surgery that became Open Heart Surgery.

Over the last 32 months, it has just been a train wreck that has been our world.

Still a lot more bad days than good; it seems to go in cycles: 5 bad & 2 good seems to be the norm nowadays.

By the end of March, I will be able to start cardiac rehab at Our Lady of The Lake Hospital. So that should help some. Have to figure out the cost part of it yet. Recovery is going way slower than expected, but that is due to the Open Heart Surgery that had a lot of issues and caused a much slower healing to my chest cavity.

Eye surgery did happen and sadly did not work. I have an appointment at the end of the month and then another one at the end of March just to test my eyes and see if things might improve. I am doing steroid eye drops 4 times daily to try and help. So far, no luck with them. Still hoping & praying!

So our world is still a train wreck with a small sliver of good news. On January 31st, which was 513 days, so 1 year and 5 months after filing for Social Security Disability, we finally received an answer. I was finally approved. Great news!!!

Right??? Well, as they say in Louisiana & Texas…hold my beer or Coca Cola. I have no words for what will happen next and the timetable for it! So my first payment will happen the 4th Wednesday in March. The back payments they owe us will take a minimum of 90 days from January 31st but can take up to 180 days. So 3 to 6 months!!! The issue is that Louisiana, even though I am approved, will take that long to process everything! UGH!!!!

Louisiana is so, so broken!!!

Once again, a swift kick in the nuts!!!

I am so broken from all of this!!! Damaged and feel so helpless & worthless. I know God is here and watching over us & me. I just want something to go right and feel normal, whatever our new normal is.
