I don't know any other way of starting this than with a "Hello!'

It's not in my nature to beg for handouts or ask strangers for any kind of monetary aid, but I have fallen on hard times and circumstances have arisen to press me to do so.

Over that past several months I had been struggling with bowel problems and had several close calls that sent me to the emergency room.

After seeing a gastroenterologist, it has been discovered that I have cancer in my lower intestine and my liver. Due to being unfit for work, with the inability to keep bowel control, and rushing to use my insurance provided by my work before it runs out this September, I am quickly going through my savings. So far I have had colonoscopies, CT scans, MRIs, and have now been scheduled to undergo radiation and chemo therapy. Although I have signed up for the Affordable Care Act to help replace my plan, I still have to cover a premium, not including my rent. I am desperately seeking out more options like unemployment or disability, but it might not apply given that I had to leave on my own accord due to poor health.

Although I have family who are supportive, I already have a father who fought cancer recently and I don't want to be a burden on the family.

I'm not ready to die!
