Support Needed for Buccee's Emergency Vet Care

Buccee has continued to improve, we are just waiting on the driver insurance so he still hasn’t been seen. The corner plan is to take whatever we have from y’all blessing and start the X-ray process that starts at $190 and can easily get to $500 depending on how many picture they need. That way we at least know what’s going on with him and hopefully the insurance will kick in by the time we know what damage was done. Thank you all again.

Buccee update, he is eating a little and drinking water. He is moving more but we can still hear that his breathing is affected. At a more affordable urgent care, to get his chest and lungs looked at is starting a $190 depending on how many shots they need and the exam is $60. We are keeping the GoFundMe me up because we are trying to make it until Friday to see how he does as well as getting what we can to hopefully cover his treatment. The first place we were quoted at only quoted up for 6 hours of observation.

Hi, my name is Destinee Singleton. I am starting this Gofundme for my family but mostly for my husband Jorrell and our dog Buccee. Jorrell is an Army Veteran and Buccee is his much needed, unofficial emotional support pet. Today 10/21/24, Jorrell was waking Buccee to a near by part to do their routine 2 mile walk and was hit by a negligent driver. Jorrell is physically ok but Buccee is clearly hurt and struggling to breathe properly with signs of internal bleeding. For obvious reasons, Jorrell went straight to the ER after speaking with the drivers spouse who agreed to cover the vet cost. Once quoted, the spouse proceeded to call his insurance company to file a claim and now is no longer responding to any communication attempts. The only problem with that is, they won’t pay until they investigate. We don’t think Buccee will make it that long if we don’t get him taken care of soon. We have tried Care Credit but was unsuccessful. This is completely out of the norm for both of us to publicly ask for help but we wouldn’t if we didn’t have to. We really hope you find it in your hearts to help. I have attached the vet bill for proof. No amount is too small. God Bless you!!
