Support Needed for a Dear Loved One Facing Cancer
Donation protected
To the person reading this letter,
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out today with a humble request for help on behalf of a dear loved one who is currently facing an incredibly challenging time.
Noelle’s Thyroid Cancer Journey
Last year, my younger sister Noelle’s life took an unexpected turn. She had noticed a lump on her neck for some time but never thought much of it—until a friend pointed out how noticeable it had become. Around the same time, she started having trouble swallowing, which made her bring it up to her doctor.
At just newly turned 29 years old, she went for an ultrasound in September 2024, which revealed a suspicious 3cm nodule. A biopsy in October confirmed it was likely cancer, and in November, she underwent surgery to remove half of her thyroid. The results showed papillary thyroid cancer (PTC), which had already spread to her lymph nodes.
In February 2025, she had a second surgery to remove the rest of her thyroid, and pathology revealed more cancerous cells on the other side. Now, she’s preparing for the next phase of treatment: a strict low-iodine diet, injections, and radioactive iodine (RAI) therapy, followed by a week of isolation. After that, she’ll undergo a full-body scan to check for any remaining cancer, with years of monitoring ahead.
This journey has been incredibly challenging, especially as Noelle has been going through it all while on maternity leave with her newborn—her youngest of three children. Despite everything, she’s handled it with strength and resilience, facing each step with courage.
Noelle, who has been courageously battling thyroid cancer, is in need of financial support to cover the potential mounting medical expenses, treatments, and other related costs. At the time of the diagnosis, she was and still is on maternity leave, making it even more difficult to manage the financial strain. As you can imagine, the burden of a cancer diagnosis and treatment, compounded by the pressures of maternity leave, is overwhelming. The funds raised will go directly to helping with these expenses, ensuring she can focus on recovery instead of financial stress.
Your support, whether it's a small donation, sharing this message with others, or simply sending your well wishes, is deeply appreciated. Every bit helps during this difficult time. The funds will go towards:
- Treatment and medication-related costs
- Accommodation expenses for medical visits and extended stays
- Other necessary expenses to help alleviate stress
This dear sister, daughter, mother, granddaughter, niece, auntie, friend, coworker, and classmate has always been there for others in their time of need, and it’s now our turn to return that kindness. We believe in the power of community and compassion, and your help can make a significant difference during this tough journey.
Please know that any donation, no matter the size, will be used solely to ease the financial burden associated with cancer treatment. Your generosity will provide not only financial relief but also a message of hope and love when it’s needed most.
With heartfelt gratitude, thank you so much for your consideration, kindness, and support.
