PLEASE HELP MY BROTHER-IN-LAW AND HIS FAMILY AFTER THE EATON FIRE

Hi, my name is Matthew, and I’m reaching out to ask for your support for my brother-in-law, Ian, and his beautiful family—wife, Vanessa, 9-year-old son, Oliver, and 7-year-old daughter, Carmela—who tragically lost their home in the devastating Eaton Fire in Altadena, CA.

On the morning of January 8th, at 3:30 AM, they were forced to evacuate as the fire quickly approached. With two young children and a large dog, there was little time to gather their belongings, and they were only able to escape with a few items of clothing. Sadly, their home and everything they owned were destroyed in the fire.

The entire neighborhood has been devastated, and so many families in this community, and across Southern California, are hurting from these catastrophic fires. My heart goes out to everyone who has lost so much in this terrible tragedy.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

My brother-in-law and his family are now facing the daunting task of rebuilding their lives from scratch. They are in urgent need of support for basic necessities—clothing, food, and temporary housing—while they work toward finding stability in this overwhelming situation. Your donation will help them begin to replace the many essential items and personal belongings that were all lost in the fire. As well as provide the children with a few comfort items to help them get through this heart-wrenching ordeal. This home was all they’ve ever known. Everything they cherished—their toys, their memories, the comfort of familiar surroundings—was gone in one swift moment. The emotional pain of losing not only their home but the items that meant so much to them is something no child should ever have to endure.
