Support my fresh start after leaving a difficult marriage
Donation protected
Hi, It's Katie , and I’m reaching out with a humble heart. I have thought and prayed long and hard before posting this request. Those who know me, know that asking for help is extremely difficult for me and I trust that you know I would not ask If I hadn't exhausted all other options (draining my retirement, borrowing from family) and if it wasn't
necessary to help get me through the most difficult time of my life.
I’m in the midst of a very difficult life transition—leaving a long-term, emotionally toxic marriage. This has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made, but I know it’s the right one for my safety, peace of mind, and future.
Why I’m Asking for Help:
As I work to rebuild, I’m facing a number of financial challenges that I can’t manage alone. These include:
Rent and essential living expenses as I move into a safe and stable environment
Legal fees related to the divorce
Pet care costs, as my animals are my emotional support and family
Maintaining the primary home until it sells (utilities, insurance, basic upkeep)
I’m doing everything I can to stay afloat, but the emotional toll combined with financial strain has made it difficult to keep up.
How You Can Help:
If you're able to contribute—whether it’s $5, $50, or just sharing this page—I can’t express how much that would mean to me. Every bit helps me move closer to stability and healing.
As someone who rarely asks for help, this is a vulnerable place to be. But I know I’m not alone, and I’m leaning on hope and the kindness of others to get through.
With Gratitude:
Thank you for reading my story. Your support, encouragement, and generosity mean more than words can say.
Warmly,
Katie
