Two days ago, I was going on an hour drive to take my dog to the vet. I was also stopping to get car parts, shocks specifically, and put a down payment on a set of tires. I had stopped midway to get gas. For once, I had cash because of the errands I was running that day. I have been working six days a week for over two years now and work an extra night shift whenever they are available. I’ve also been donating plasma as much as I can in order to save up that way as well. I had pulled out all of my cash so that I could do the down payment for the tires, get the car parts, and pay for the vet, and for once not have to use my credit cards, which I’ve been trying to pay off for years now.
When I went to get gas, I was in a rush and somehow put my wallet on my roof, which I never do, and did not realize I even did it. So once I finished paying with my cash and got the gas, I left with my wallet still on the roof. The Sheetz gas station cameras, the manager said she saw me put something up there, and it never fell off in the parking lot.
It is not a good area.
About an hour after it happened, I realized because I had got to my destination, and I started freaking out and retraced my steps. I spent about six hours that day searching the roads and walking up and down the interstate about a mile and a half.
I spent the following day, yesterday, doing the same thing for a few hours, nothing.
Petco charged me over $1000 for my dogs spay a few months ago when they initially told me it would only be around $500 and never actually sent or showed me an invoice until after the surgery was done, and I checked, definitely against policy, they are supposed to even before I get there.
Between trying to pay off that vet visit, utility bills from last winter, credit card interest, groceries, gas, owing over 2000 for recent repairs on my vehicle and still need to get the shocks and tires for starters, and being in school still, it’s hard to work two full-time jobs, crappy excuse, which is why I’m trying to get something else, currently applying at gas stations and really everywhere, we definitely get something soon, along with my job starts seven days a week for the winter time soon so I will be able to do that instead of only six and some extra shifts at night.
This is truly a really hard pill to swallow.
$700 in cash, all of my credit and debit cards, and a lot of stuff that I need to pay off with now money I don’t have and am in the red even more for.
Truly, anything helps. This is truly a new low for me to have to do something like this, but at this point, I just don’t know what to do. Losing three paychecks in an instant sucks, especially because it’s 100% my fault and could have been prevented, which makes it 100 times more frustrating.
Below are photos of the interstate and my feet after I removed my shoes and my socks hahaha
