Support Needed After Tragic Accident and Loss

How one's world can change in a matter of seconds. It was April 30th, 2026, around 5:30 p.m. I picked up my sister from work, and we were headed home just like a normal day. Except on this day, a car ran a red light in an intersection, and we smashed directly into him. We sustained multiple injuries, her having five cracked ribs and a collapsed lung. I myself have a broken foot in four places and a broken right hand. I had a concussion and a black eye. First accident I've ever been in, in the 50 years of my life. I didn't know what was to come.

I am unable to walk, and I have use of one hand. The day after my accident, on May 1st, 2026, I received a phone call at 9:30 p.m. from my son that my mother had passed away. My mother had been dealing with lung cancer, and it was her first bout of chemo. I could not believe it. My world came crumbling down. As bad as my injuries were, I had to jump in a car and travel 8 hours to go assist my son and my sister to finalize everything in my mother's life. I was numb, and I believe I still am.

After spending a week in Reno, I had to travel eight more hours in pain, with sadness and a mind that was in disbelief. Coming home to a normal life was far from the truth. It took every penny we had to have my mom cremated. Once at home, I cannot work. I used to clean Airbnbs and offices at night. From a work life of night and day to not being able to do anything. Bills are up, rent is due, food needs to be put on the table. I am helpless. You realize who your friends are when situations like this happen. Truth is, no one is around. All of a sudden, everyone is busy.

I truly am asking for some help, even a dollar, to remain in the house that I have lived in for the last 4 years, to not become homeless and be displaced because of someone's negligence on the road. There's no one I have that I can turn to, so that is my reason for putting up this GoFundMe. I will say it in advance: I thank you from the bottom of my heart if you are able to donate to my situation. When the time comes that I am financially able to work and gain my own money, I will give back to this site and give back to people who, like myself, needed emergency help. Again, may everyone have a blessed night, and I thank you very much.
