Support Needed After Rebel's Sudden Loss

We unexpectedly lost a huge piece of our hearts and family on July 4, our big precious baby Rebel.

This tremendous loss came without warning. What started off as a normal day quickly turned into a rapid health decline in Rebel.

All local vets were closed for the holiday, and we rushed to an emergency veterinarian in Madison, WI.

Rebel rapidly declined during the 90-minute drive. By the time we reached the parking lot of the emergency clinic, she was taking her last breaths.

Although she was no longer breathing on her own, she did still have a heartbeat, and the emergency veterinarians rushed her in for treatment.

Despite all efforts, CPR and intubation failed, and she lost her life within minutes.

She was, to our knowledge, completely healthy and showed no signs of distress before that morning.

Our family is absolutely heartbroken by this loss.

Unfortunately, even with only minutes of medical intervention given, we were left with thousands of dollars in medical bills.

Emergency veterinarians do not offer payment plans, and the money was due immediately upon losing our beloved pet.

Because of this, our immense sadness and grief is now accompanied by an overwhelming financial stress.
