After a long day of driving on Saturday, 4/18, we parked the car on a street in South LA and were eager to get to our beds and rest. We were quickly overwhelmed just 6 hours later when, on Sunday morning, a hit-and-run driver struck our vehicle.

The car was devastatingly mangled by the collision, and after hours spent over the course of multiple days asking our neighbors and local businesses for help with our independent search to identify the offending vehicle for insurance purposes, we have been unable to turn up any promising leads as of Wednesday night, 4/22.

As many of you can relate, this car was our crucial method of transportation across our widespread city of L.A. Used to get to work and live our lives, its absence is felt and has already been a challenge to adjust to while we hope to work with our insurance to get a replacement vehicle. Just last May 2025, we spent a significant chunk of our yearly income to completely redo the transmission, a large expense now made obsolete by an accident that we were unfortunately the victims of. Also, with our current financial standing, this loss is a huge hole that we are honestly unable to finance via credit with a new vehicle.

We are fundraising to help cover the costs of navigating either replacing or repairing the vehicle so we can get back to our daily lives and work. This car was our crucial method of transportation across our widespread city of L.A. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
