Support needed after devastating housefire
Donation protected

My dearest friend has returned home from church yesterday evening (26/01) to find there has been a fire in her home.
She had recently moved to a small one room flat, and so everything has been devastatingly destroyed. What isn't burnt is covered in thick black smoke and beyond repair.
Her clothes, kitchen equipment and everything for basic living needs are gone. She is even without the security of a front door after neighbours had to break it down what was left of the door.
My dearest friend for over 20 years, is living in a township in Cape Town, so I can't rally round with goods, but only send some money to help quickly make her place secure and habitable.
My friend is strong and resourceful and proud, yet I desperately want her to be safe and feel lifted by good at this tough time. After redundancy from a charity as a qualified manager in community development, supporting young people in Cape Town's townships, my friend is already facing challenges in a period of unemployment - which led to her recently moving from her home of 10 years.
If you have any suggestions for charitable networks who might be able to help, your church perhaps, a pair of hands in CT to help paint, or offer temporary housing - or if you feel you could chip in any small donation, I would be so so grateful. Thank you xxx
Thank you to friends and family who have contributed offline xxx
