Hi my name is Kate Michel-Gallardo, and I am fundraising on behalf of my incredible son Nebai.

The raise will go directly to cover holistic pediatrician costs not covered by insurance.

Nebai is a very sweet, 6-year-old boy; those who know him will describe him as a very happy soul, handsome, playful, affectionate and active. Nebai was diagnosed with ASD on December 2nd, 2021, and from then on, it's definitely become harder. Our family is seeking new treatment options to help Nebai find his voice. Nebai is nonverbal but finds himself learning new ways to communicate his needs to the family. Some days, that communication includes: pinching that bruises our arms, high-pitched screams, and even some kicking. After digging and digging, our family decided to go the holistic way. As a couple who has tried everything there is out there- including therapies (i.e., speech therapy and occupational therapy) diets, and supplements - without much help.

We find ourselves begging doctors for referrals and answers, hoping this isn't all there is to try out there. Finding a holistic pediatrician, and by lots of prayer and thought, has given us hope to heal our son from the inside. We have now started to pay thousands, not including lab work to be done, or follow-up care in the future. Our medical insurance does not cover out-of-network care, but that will not stop us; that is the reason our family is seeking your help.

We know autism isn't a condition that is to be cured. We love and accept our son the way God sent him to us, but we can for sure give it our all to find ways to help our son become independent thinking on his future.

Hola, mi nombre es Kate Michel-Gallardo y estoy recaudando fondos en nombre de mi hermoso hijo Nebai.

Los fondos se destinarán directamente a cubrir los costos de un pediatra holístico que no están cubiertos por el seguro.

Nebai es un niño muy dulce de 6 años; quienes lo conocen lo describirán como un alma muy feliz, guapo, juguetón, afectuoso y activo. A Nebai se le diagnosticó TEA (Trastorno del Espectro Autista) el 2 de diciembre de 2021, y desde entonces, definitivamente se ha vuelto más difícil. Nuestra familia está buscando nuevas opciones de tratamiento para ayudar a Nebai a encontrar su voz. Nebai no es verbal, pero está aprendiendo nuevas formas de comunicar sus necesidades a la familia. Algunos días, esa comunicación incluye: pellizcar que nos deja moretones en los brazos, gritos agudos e incluso algunas patadas. Después de investigar mucho, nuestra familia decidió optar por el enfoque holístico. Como pareja que ha probado todo lo que existe, incluyendo terapias (por ejemplo, terapia del habla y terapia ocupacional), dietas y suplementos, sin mucho éxito.

Nos encontramos suplicando a los médicos referencias y respuestas, esperando que esto no sea todo lo que hay para intentar. Encontrar un pediatra holístico, y a través de mucha oración y reflexión, nos ha dado esperanza para sanar a nuestro hijo desde adentro. Ahora hemos comenzado a pagar miles, sin incluir los análisis de laboratorio que deben realizarse o la atención de seguimiento en el futuro. Nuestro seguro médico no cubre la atención fuera de la red, pero eso no nos detendrá; esa es la razón por la que nuestra familia busca su ayuda.

Sabemos que el autismo no es una condición que deba curarse. Amamos y aceptamos a nuestro hijo tal como Dios nos lo envió, pero ciertamente tenemos que darlo todo para encontrar formas de ayudar a nuestro hijo pensando en su futuro.
