Support Nearah's Bassoon Career Path

Hi, my name is Nearah, and I’m raising funds to purchase my own bassoon.

I’ve had the privilege of playing bassoon with the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras for nearly 9 years, and it has been an incredibly rewarding experience. However, as a graduating senior, I can no longer continue using the rental bassoon provided by BYSO. I am planning to attend college to pursue bassoon performance, and having my own instrument is essential for my growth as a musician and my future success.

Pursuing a career in the performing arts excites me in ways words can’t fully express. I’m constantly envisioning the places I’ll go and the incredible people I’ll meet along the way. The opportunity to share my life through music—and to experience others doing the same—is one of the most profound gifts I can imagine. Music is a universal language, and I’m eager to communicate with audiences around the world through it.

Owning my own bassoon will help me continue to do what I love—creating music, performing, and sharing my passion with others. However, bassoons are expensive instruments, and this fundraiser will help me purchase one that will support my musical journey for years to come.
