Support NC Disaster Relief: 100-Minute Challenge

Hello!

We are a group of Senior business students from Elon University currently taking a Strategic Management course. As part of a class challenge, we’re given just 100 minutes to raise as much money as possible for a charity of our choice. Meaning this GoFundMe will open on November 5th at 2:30 and will close on November 5th at 4:10pm. After thoughtful consideration, we’ve chosen the North Carolina Community Foundation Disaster Relief Fund to support those still struggling from the impact of Hurricane Helene.

Our team selected this cause because, while time has passed since the storm, many communities—especially underrepresented families—are still in the process of rebuilding. The aftermath of Hurricane Helene continues to affect lives, homes, and livelihoods, and we want to make a meaningful contribution to this recovery. As students living in North Carolina, we've seen how devastating hurricanes can be. With close friends and family directly impacted by this recent storm, we're coming together as a group to raise funds not only for class but, more importantly, to support those who have lost so much.

We are encouraging donations to groups that are working to address immediate needs in western North Carolina and to support the long-term recovery of the region. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will go directly to the Disaster Relief Fund, where it will be used to help those most in need. We believe in the power of community and are asking for your support. Every cent counts, and together, we can make a difference.
