Support Nayeli's Recovery and Rehabilitation

On June 8th around 1:30am Nayeli Hernandez was driving home from line dancing with friends when a drunk driver crashed into her head on. Nayeli’s car was totaled and left her with severe injuries. She suffered severe bruising, open wound/fractured ankle on her right leg, a fractured knee, toe, and misplaced bone in her foot on her left leg, a big laceration on her thigh, a fractured vertebrae in her lower left back, and abrasions on her face in which almost all needed surgery.  

Since the accident, Nayeli has been recovering in a rehabilitation facility relearning how to mobilize without the use of her legs as they are non weight bearing.

Not only has this incident incredibly affected Nayeli physically and emotionally but also financially. After the accident, in addition to rendering Nayeli unable to work, she has not received any support from the drunk driver’s insurance, so she is left to find a way to replace her car AND pay for other expenses that have come up.

Some of these expenses include out of pocket transportation between hospitals, expenses with her car such as towing, medical bills, and the need to now make her living situation wheelchair accessible.

We as her friends want to come alongside Nayeli and support her in any way we can, as she navigates this healing journey. We found that starting this GoFundMe is the best way to help during this trying time.
