I'm starting this GoFundMe for my father and mother. My father was in the Navy for 18 years and was an FC1 Fire Controlman with an honorable discharge. My father went to the hospital on February 5th for what we thought was a simple chest pain. He had no clue that simple chest pain would be a minor heart attack that would lead to what the doctors thought would be a simple stent. It turns out he had 90% blockages on two arteries and one at 70% on the 3rd, forcing the doctor to do a triple bypass without stopping his heart. They took him back yesterday (February 12, 2025, at 7:30 am) with a successful surgery completed just after 10:30 am. As everyone who has had family get a triple bypass knows, this is just the beginning of the healing process.

With all of this happening, it has forced my father (age 62) into retirement and no longer doing private driving. That's going to put my father and mother into a financial hardship because my mother is on disability for her medical problems, including a triple bypass in the past. She has fully recovered from hers. This leaves them to only rely on my mother's disability as well as my father's VA disability. They have home repairs that are needed as well as bills. One of the major home repairs will be having the HVAC fixed; it currently does not blow hot nor cold air, forcing them to use the fireplace only. To run the fireplace on average is about $150 a week in wood that's run 24/7 just to keep the house warm. They also have a $700 car payment to make sure they can safely and reliably transport to their upcoming appointments. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated.
