Friends, Family, and Community,
I am reaching out to share some difficult news regarding my cousin, Venkata Siva Naga Naveen Uppalapati. On March 31, 2026, Naveen was the victim of a severe hit-and-run accident.
He is currently at Baylor University Medical Center, being treated for a traumatic brain injury, internal bleeding, and multiple fractures. While he is in good hands and receiving intensive medical care, his path to recovery will be a long and challenging one.
The Need for Care
Naveen’s doctors have advised that upon discharge, he will need substantial, 24/7 care to ensure his safety and help rebuild his strength. To give him the strongest chance at healing and to avoid setbacks, it is highly recommended for his parents to be by his side in Dallas, Texas. Having his mother and father step in as his primary caregivers will provide the steady, consistent support he needs to recover from these extensive injuries.
How Your Support Helps
We are coming together to help manage the unexpected financial impact of this emergency. Your contributions will go directly toward:
Ongoing Medical Expenses: Covering his specialized trauma care and recent surgeries.
Intensive Rehabilitation: Funding the physical and cognitive therapy required after a traumatic brain injury.
Recovery Support: Helping secure the resources and equipment needed for his continuous care at home.
How You Can Help
Any contribution is deeply appreciated by our family. If you are unable to donate right now, we would be incredibly grateful if you could:
