Hi everyone, my name is Nautica Cotton. On October 8th, my life changed in an instant. While delivering Instacart orders in Boone, I was involved in a near death car accident when another driver crossed 4–6 feet into my lane over the double yellow lines. The impact was so severe that I had to be cut out of my car and airlifted to Johnson City Medical Center.
At the hospital, I underwent multiple MRIs, CT scans, and X-rays. The results were devastating, I have four fractured ribs, three dislocated ribs, fractures in my L1–L4 vertebrae, and a torn tendon and a break in my lower right fibula. I’ve been told I won’t be able to put any weight on my foot for 12–14 weeks minimum, which means I can’t return to work anytime soon.
This accident has turned my world upside down, both physically and financially. I’m doing my best to stay strong and focus on recovery, but the truth is I need help to cover my monthly bills and basic living expenses while I heal.
If you’re able to donate or even just share this page, it would mean the world to me. Every bit of support helps me take one step closer to recovery and stability. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story, and for any help you can give, it truly means more than words can say. Please keep me in your prayers as I continue to heal.
