We are reaching out to you first to send you love and gratitude for being you!

And to let you know about Nature Kids Therapy, an occupational therapy and mental health clinic that serves neurodivergent youth and their families in South Minneapolis with a brain and play-based, child-led, nature-forward lens is need of your help to navigate through the choppy waters of the start up phase!

Our clinic keeps our clients' self-esteem intact, knowing that they are needed for building the new systems from a place of wholeness.

We are looking to raise funds to cover the start-up costs associated with opening this clinic, including paint and supplies, the first 6 months' rent, and furnishings such as the installation of the amazing swing (a helpful tool that helps to integrate the nervous system through proprioceptive input), insurance credentialing, fabric for the curtains (I sewed them myself because real health care feels like home), and more.

Nature Kids Therapy exists to serve families. We have a waitlist for services. And we are still waiting to hear back from some insurance companies whether we will be in-network with them. We have heard back from Medica and UCare that "there are enough OT practitioners in the area" and didn't get the contract with them and had to turn away excited clients with these insurances. We heard back from Medicare that we are now approved and credentialed! Yay! Grateful! And that this is insurance for people 65+. Contracts with Health Partners, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United Health Care and Medicaid are still needed. We need to be able to cover rent for the building in the mean time while we wait to hear back from them to be able to start seeing clients.
