Support High Performance Athlete's Journey to Orange Cup

Hi Friends!

Dec 2- Dec 9 I will be making my ELEVENTH debut with the Canadian National Lifesaving Sport team! We will be competing in Rotterdam, NL at the Orange Cup (An international sport competition). To attend this event you must be selected by a selection committee based on your performances and times at previous events.

For those who don't know what lifesaving sport is, it’s a mix of competitive swimming and lifeguarding modalities. It is currently the only humanitarian based sport out there. Personally, I am going for some HUGE goals, back in 2016 when I competed at this competition I was fourth in 100m tow (the one with the rescue tube and fins), this year I am looking for some podium finishes and a national record! (I did say HUGE!)

All this being said, Lifesaving sport is a ‘pay to play’ sport and unfortunately funding is at a minimum. Some friends have encouraged me to start this account to help cover the $5000 cost that I as an athlete needed to pay Lifesaving Canada to attend this event.
