I never imagined I’d be writing these words, but life has taken an unexpected turn. I was recently diagnosed with an aggressive cancer called Leiomyosarcoma, and the reality of medical expenses, travel for clinical trials, and the uncertainty
ahead has been overwhelming. I am currently on a wait list for a clinical trial at MD Anderson Cancer Center, and the costs of travel, treatment, and medical devices are adding up quickly.
