On November 24, 2024 Nathen and Krystal got married. The next day they were both involved in a vehicle collision. While changing the alternator on the side of the road in Nathen's truck, the truck was struck from behind sending Krystal 20+ feet off into a field and crushing Nathen between the ranchhand bumper on his truck and the front end of Krystal's car. Nathen has been in critical condition since. Monday night he was airlifted to Harris hospital where he had to undergo two immediate emergency surgeries to stop the internal bleeding. His colon was shredded, his bladder was severely damaged, and his pelvis was broken in half as well as both of the balls on his hip bones. There are several other injuries but those are less severe. Since Monday night, he has undergone another surgery to try and repair the colon and bladder issues, and will be undergoing another surgery on Saturday morning to repair his pelvis. This surgery may be the first of several due to the severity of the breaks. The airlift alone can cost between $20,000 and $75,000 dollars, and the amount of surgeries, medications, blood transfusions (there have been several) that he has received is racking up medical bills more and more each day. He has health insurance but there is no way that it is going to pay for all of his medical bills, plus the recovery time afterwards when he will not be able to work.
