Support Nathan’s Recovery from Heart Failure

Donation protected
In late May 2024, our lives took an unexpected and challenging turn when Nathan, who had been struggling with breathing difficulties for weeks, was rushed to the emergency room. The diagnosis was devastating: congestive heart failure. His ejection fraction rate, a critical measure of heart function, was alarmingly low at just 10.7%, placing him in a dangerously crucial state. A normal ejection fraction in a healthy heart is 50% to 70%.

Nathan was hospitalized and treated with a regimen of medications and a portable defibrillator to stabilize his condition. Thankfully, his heart has shown some improvement over the months following. However, the medications that helped his heart have unfortunately caused significant damage to his kidneys and liver. Nathan was recently hospitalized again for several days as his medical team worked tirelessly to assess the damage and develop a new treatment plan.

Nathan’s road to recovery will be long and demanding, involving cardiotherapy, regular testing, specialty medications, and potentially a permanent implanted defibrillator. He may eventually need a heart transplant. The medical expenses have already exceeded $20,000, and the journey ahead will undoubtedly bring further costs.

We are reaching out to our community for support during this challenging time. Regardless of size, any contribution would be deeply appreciated and will go directly towards Nathan’s medical expenses, ensuring he can focus on his recovery and return to a happy, healthy life.

Thank you for your kindness and support.
