Nathan, my older brother, has always been the kind of person who faces life’s challenges head-on. Born with an abnormal liver, he spent years quietly battling health issues that eventually turned into cirrhosis and, later, HCC (Hepatocellular Carcinoma) cancer. For the past year, Nathan fought tirelessly and without complaint through rounds of immunotherapy, all with the hope of being placed on the liver transplant list. Just last week, after so much waiting and hoping, Nathan received the incredible gift of a new liver—a second chance at life, thanks to the generosity of another family.

This transplant is a huge step forward, but Nathan’s fight isn’t over. Recovery has been tough, and the medical expenses, medications, and travel for appointments have created a heavy financial burden. Nathan is a hardworking farmer and a devoted father to his three kids. He’s always put his family and his work first, never asking for help—even now, he doesn’t know I’m organizing this fundraiser. But I know he needs support to get through this next chapter.
