Hi everyone,
On the evening of July 17th, three teenagers were seen in my neighborhood walking around at 5:30 PM, reportedly looking for a car to steal. Unfortunately, they chose the vehicle I rely on daily to commute, work, and keep up with my essential bills.
Although they didn’t succeed in taking the car, the damage left behind was severe. The steering column and ignition system were destroyed in the attempt. The car is now in the shop awaiting a repair estimate, but based on expert guidance, the cost is expected to be around $2,500 or more.
This isn’t just about a car. Over the past year, I’ve been balancing a full-time job while also driving 30+ hours a week for Uber to stay on top of student loans, rent, and basic living expenses after graduating. Losing my car—even temporarily—means losing my primary income source and stability.
I’ve often kept struggles like this to myself. In a world where I’ve felt the need to quietly push through challenges—especially in work environments where I felt isolated or unsupported—I’ve learned to cope alone. But this time, I’m reaching out because the emotional and financial stress has become too heavy to carry on my own.
Asking for help isn’t easy. Reliving this situation over and over is difficult. But I know I have people in my life who care—people who understand what it’s like to work hard, fall behind through no fault of your own, and still try to rise again with dignity.
I’m raising funds to:
• Cover the repair cost of my vehicle
• Recover lost income while it’s in the shop
• Regain the stability I’ve been working so hard to build
If you’ve read this far, thank you. Even if you can’t give financially, your kindness, words of support, or sharing this post would mean the world to me.
With gratitude and resilience,
