Introduction
Hi friends and community,
I’m reaching out with gratitude and a hopeful heart. I’m in my final semester at the Yale School of Public Health in New Haven, Connecticut, and I’m just $2,221 away from fully covering my remaining tuition balance—due in two weeks.
Reaching this point has taken perseverance, community support, and a deep belief that public health can and must do better for people who are too often overlooked. I’m incredibly close to the finish line, and I’m asking for a small lift to help me cross it.
Every contribution—no matter the size—helps ensure I can graduate on time and continue the work I’ve committed my life to.
Why I’m Raising Funds
My education at Yale has equipped me with the tools, evidence, and credibility to serve communities impacted by human trafficking, violence, trauma, and unmet men’s and boys’ health needs—areas that remain critically under-resourced and frequently misunderstood in public health.
My work focuses on:
Preventing and responding to human trafficking, including the trafficking of boys and men
Advancing trauma-informed, evidence-based systems change
Supporting survivors and communities through practical public health strategies
Addressing persistent gaps in how institutions respond to victimization and harm
Completing this degree isn’t just a personal milestone—it directly strengthens my ability to train professionals, inform policy, and advocate effectively for populations that are too often ignored.
What Happened
Over the past year, a canceled federal fellowship, the government shutdown, a period of housing instability, and health complications created an unexpected financial gap. While I remained enrolled and committed to finishing strong, the cumulative effect of these disruptions made it difficult to fully absorb the final costs of my last semester.
This fundraiser is helping close that remaining gap so I can complete my degree on time and continue serving the public health field.
Transparency & Accountability
I believe in being open and accountable. All funds raised will go directly toward my final tuition balance.
If helpful, I can provide contact information for my financial aid advisor at Yale upon request, and I’m happy to share a mailing address if you prefer to contribute by check.

With sincere gratitude,
Nathan
