Hi everyone,
We’re reaching out to ask for financial support for Nathan, as he faces the fight of his life.
On October 26, Nathan was found unresponsive in his home and was transported to Mercy Hospital, where Doctors found a tumor the size of a baseball. Nathan was then transported to Abbott, where he underwent a 3 hour brain surgery. And, while the surgeons were able to remove the entire tumor, pathology confirmed a diagnosis of glioblastoma, a highly aggressive, fast-growing cancerous tumor.
Since then, he has shown incredible strength and resilience. After a strong recovery, he returned home to live with my mother for a short period; and even back to work- though he was not fully in a healthy state.
Nathan is now undergoing six weeks of radiation, five days a week, along with daily chemotherapy pills. Thankfully, treatment has started smoothly, and so far his side effects have resulted in extreme fatigue, making it difficult to stay awake for prolonged periods of time. His medical team has been outstanding, and recent testing showed that his tumor type should respond better to treatment—giving us much-needed hope.
Even with insurance, the financial burden of cancer treatment adds up quickly, especially considering that he is a single man with a mortgage to pay solely by himself. Between medical bills, medications, transportation to daily radiation appointments, time away from work, and ongoing care, the stress can be overwhelming. This fundraiser is meant to help ease that burden so Nathan can focus fully on healing, especially as radiation continues, as the burden of tiredness will only grow.
Nathan has always been the kind of person who shows up for others without hesitation. Now, we are asking for help showing up for him. Any donation, big or small, means so much to our family. If you’re unable to give, sharing this page and keeping Nathan in your prayers is just as appreciated.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and love. We truly feel the support surrounding us every day.
With gratitude,
